The Palestinian man was shot dead in a fracas with Israeli security guards near an ultra-nationalist Jewish association in the Old City of occupied east Jerusalem, police said. The Palestinian seized the gun of one of the guards at the building housing the ultra-Orthodox Ateret Cohanim yeshiva in the walled Old City, which contains sites holy to Christians, Jews and Muslims. Six other people were wounded in the shooting which occurred near the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Christian quarter, three of them seriously, according to Israel emergency services.
