These batiste open drawers, embellished with ribbons and embroidery, were inspired by vintage lingerie of the late 19th century and Edwardian period of the 20th century, which can be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art Archives. Fashion historians acknowledge that the lingerie of this period is the most beautiful and varied in the history of 19th century underwear. It was decorated with all kinds of embroidery, lace and ribbons. Drawers are essential underwear if you wear clothing in The Belle Epoque style. It is an indispensable part of a lady's wardrobe. The batiste open drawers are made of white thin cotton batiste and decorated with embroidery, lace and satin ribbons, just like in a museum exhibit. The embroidery was designed by me and made on an embroidery machine. The fabric after embroidery is washed to remove the water-soluble stabilizer. This pattern has a split - crotch-opening, which means that the drawers are completely open at the crotch seam from the center back waistband until about 5" below the front waistband. They smoothly fit the waist and expand below the hips, do not add volume to the waist and tie at the waist with a ribbon. The pantallons are very comfortable to wear. Thin light batiste and gentle lace make them perfectly feminine and weightless. These bloomers are perfect as lingerie for a late Victorian historical reenactment, a photo shoot, a themed party or as a pretty sleepwear. This gentle, light underwear is designed to be worn under a corset, a dress or another suit.
