Two plies gently twisted together create a delicatelace-weight yarn perfect for lacy shawls and accessories. Used double, it’s warm and lustrous, lightweight and breathable, making it perfect to wear through the seasons. According to the down color, we obtain three natural shades (chocolate, desert and oatmeal) which we dye in order to get our palette of soft colors that evoke the five elements of nature. Most yaks are of an intense shade, therefore light colors are very rare and even more precious. On our baby yak colors, we only dye on the natural basis, no bleaching or decoloring. Each color will vary from season to season depending on the shade of the natural fibers, making it at times darker and at times lighter. This is the beauty of working with natural fibers and therefore the shade of the sample you see photographed here, might not always correspond to the shade we have in stock or at your local LYS.
