LSU women's coach Kim Mulkey addressed media Saturday amid speculation that she would soon be the subject of a Washington Post article, going so far as to threaten legal action against the newspaper. In her press conference in Baton Rouge, Mulkey confirmed the existence of an upcoming article. She said former players have approached her to let her know how the article might cast her in a negative light. This is exactly why people don't trust journalists and the media anymore, Mulkey said. I'm fed up, and I'm not going to let the Washington Post attack this university, this awesome team of young women I have, or me without a fight. I have hired the best defamation law firm in the country, and I will sue the Washington Post if they publish a false story about me.
