Fairtrade Food and Dining Services - McGill University

By A Mystery Man Writer

McGill, now a Silver Certified Fair Trade Campus Fairtrade Canada has awarded this new status to our downtown campus in recognition of our extensive campus-wide collaboration and dedication to the availability of fairtrade products and engagement in fairtrade education. As the first campus in Quebec achieve this status, McGill continues to be committed to offering our community products that help farmers and workers get fair wages and living conditions. Our next focus is to get Macdonald Campus the same accreditation by Fall 2024. As the Fairtrade movement continues to grow, McGill’s Student Housing and Hospitality Services is proud to be a leader in Fairtrade purchasing and to inspire other Canadian universities to follow suit. Look for Fairtrade coffee, teas and chocolates wherever they’re sold on campus.
