Why do corgis sleep on their backs?

It seems odd, doesn't it? But there's actually a very reasonable explanation for this bizarre behavior. Corgis are known to be one of the "deepest sleepers" out there, but that doesn't mean they can't wake up-they just do so slowly. When sleeping on their back, the dog is able to quickly react to any potential threats
