Splice Kit Sometimes making a splice is unavoidable, for those situations we offer our Splice Kit. Splicing should only be done on the lead-in. It is used to repair damaged lead-in wire, or to extend (splice on) additional lead-in run. For use with BD Loops Preformed 3/16” Saw-Cut Loops. In a situation where the loop is damaged, it is better to install a new preformed loop or wrap a new loop. The BD Loops splice kit comes packed with double walled adhesive lined shrink tubing that is layered to make a durable watertight seal. The Splice Kit is designed to prevent common problems associated with splicing in the field, such as corrosion, oxidization, and contact with water.
