Spike, born under the name William Pratt, is a vampire from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel shows. Spike was born as a human under the name William Pratt in London, England to Anne Pratt and her husband. In 1880, he was turned into a vampire by Drusilla. Spike has a punk look with bleached blond hair. He greatly resembles the punk rock singer Billy Idol — something the show later commented on in universe, where Buffy suggested Billy in fact stole Spike's look. During his life as a human
