It hadn’t truly been warm enough to wear them in Vancouver yet this year, and I’ve been really focused on fitness for the past few months, which I suppose meant that I thought when I put my shorts on, I would magically have the body of a completely different person. In reality, of course, I put my shorts on our first morning in the city and, much to my dismay, my legs were still my legs. This is not my way of fishing for compliments. In fact, even if every single one of you were kind enough to reassure me that my legs look just fine in these shorts, I wouldn’t really believe it. My legs have been a sore point for me since I was bopping along with Mousercises on the Disney channel in kindergarten.
