Powell House-St. Cloud-Canon Hotel-St. Cloud Hotel - One of the oldest hotels in the state, the 1890s St. Cloud Hotel in Cañon City was threatened in 2012 with demolition when the corporate owner of the St. Cloud Hotel realized he could not afford to restore the deteriorating Second Empire style building.  The Future of Yesterday Foundation formed after public outcry halted the razing.
