National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar is a Deemed University established in the year 1967 and located in Silchar city of Assam. The institute is approved by The University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The university is establishing unique identity by developing of a high quality human and knowledge resources in varied areas of technologies to meet local, national, and international economic and social need and human society at large in a self-sustained manner.
