Lovely vintage MCM or Mid-Century Danish Modern armchairs or lounge chairs with tapered legs & brass sabots in the style of Folke Ohlsson for DUX. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. On the front right side of one chair where the stretcher screws to the leg, the stretcher had split and has been repaired. We believe these were reupholstered and given new foam prior to our purchase. They also may have been refinished. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid 20th Century. Well, YES, you are seeing double! This is a stunning pair of vintage lounge chairs chairs in the style of Folke Ohlsson for DUX comprised of gorgeous walnut toned frames featuring a floating seat effect, the original canvas insert in the seat frame, a slightly angled spindle back, and brass sabots on the round tapered legs. The brass sabots have fabulous, aged patina which we left alone as we appreciate the vintage beauty and additional character. We are pretty sure these chairs have been refinished and they have new foam or new cushions and newer mauve & purple tweed upholstery. The fabric has button detail on the seat back and gives off different color hues in various lights… they look more mauve in some lighting and a bit more purple in others… It’s GORGEOUS!! They are mid-century modern with a Scandinavian Modern flair, or what my mom/grandma in the 1960’s called Danish Modern, and they are sure to make a statement in any room of your home. They will be fabulous across from the sofa in the living room, in the sitting room with an accent table in between, in the corner of your bedroom, or in the family room facing the fireplace.
