Born Lauren Elyse Burningham in Salt Lake City, Utah, Lala Kent started to make appearances on Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules during season 4. While working as a hostess in Lisa Vanderpump‘s restaurant, Kent scored roles in movies including The Row, Vault, Spree and Hard Kill. In October 2018, the Bravo personality decided to get sober following the death of her father. Kent continued to pursue various projects outside of TV and film, including a music career with her single “Boy.” The Utah native went on to create a cosmetics line titled Give Them Lala Beauty. In 2021, she also wrote a book, Give Them Lala, which featured personal essays about her life. The reality star met producer Randall Emmett in December 2015, and the couple took their relationship public three years later. In 2018, the director proposed to Kent during a special beach dinner. They welcomed daughter Ocean in March 2021. Us Weekly confirmed their split the following November, and Kent later alleged infidelity on Emmett’s part.
