Handmade from hand sewn, wet moulded 4-5mm (11-12oz) veg tan leather to your dimensions, handsewn with waxed linen thread. These are perfect for active re-enactment, especially full contact fighting. The coreless design and integral sword belt means they are not only extremely robust, but also flexible, so no more fractured scabbards or trip-ups! Designed to look authentic from 1066 to the late 1300’s, this scabbard will enhance your costume and last a lifetime. Belts come with cast Pewter buckles or brass to order, or can be made chapeless and with a tie-wrap for an earlier style. Plain “silver” steel chapes, or brass. Scabbards are produced plain, without tooling, but to your choice of colour. You can also chose to buy just the scabbard alone, or the scabbard complete with the integral belt shown Please note: I need the dimensions of the sword before I can make your scabbard and also I only make scabbards for blunt re-enactment swords.
