The United Methodist Church and the Indiana Conference condemn racism and any practice or belief that one group of human beings is superior to another. As believers, we are called to repent of the sin of racism, both personally and collectively. We must listen, learn, and engage in restorative action. We covenant to seek justice, to fight racial injustice, hatred, and indifference, and to do the work of building relationships across lines of difference to root out the sin of racism from the Church.
