Vintage horse brass featuring a "Shire Horse." A horse brass is a brass plaque which was used used for the decoration of horse harness gear, especially for shire and parade horses. Horse Brasses became very popular in England between the mid-19th century until their decline alongside the use of the draft horse, but they have now become a collectors item and they make lovely wall hanging and often can be found decorating pub and Inn walls.
