Mesmerizing old black powder flask with original belt. The Qājār dynasty (Persian: Selsele-ye Qājār) was an Iranian royal dynasty of Turkic origin specifically from the Qājār tribe, ruling over Iran from 1789 to 1925. Rare and unusual black powder flask covered with camel’s scrotum and penis sheath. Finely decorated with various textures, embossed patterns and carvings inluding horses, equestrians, flowers etc. Flask is in very good condition. Leather and all metal parts are intact, as well delicate seams and stitches. Hinged lid/cap working well. Age-related wear. Beautiful light brown patina. Size approx. 30cm x 14cm and leather belt 33,0cm x 3,0cm.
