La Désirade sparks a lovely dance of red berries and velvety tannins on the tongue. The bouquet is intensely flavored with blackcurrant, blackberries, and black cherries. Once this wine hits the palate, it is quite expressive and full. While cherry flavors lead the dance, they quickly open up to invite notes of underbrush and roasted coffee. La Désirade has a long finish and ends its show with special appearances of licorice, cacao and scrubland. It will complement well lamb, a beautiful steak or game.
