In her youth Catherine attended Sunnydale High School where she was a popular student who was captain of the cheerleading squad. She managed to lead the squad to be tri-country champions, a feat that had not been accomplished before or since. Her victories earned her a trophy which would be housed in the school trophy cabinet. She was voted the homecoming queen, and her boyfriend was voted the homecoming king. They got married right after graduation. They eventually gave birth to a daughter call
