The Scallop Shell Ring is made from the molding and casting of a real found scallop shell in recycled silver. I collected the original empty mollusk shells on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then sent it to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. The Scallop is the birth shell

The Scallop Shell Ring is made from the molding and casting of a real found scallop shell in recycled silver. I collected the original empty mollusk shells on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then sent it to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. The Scallop is the birth shell for November.

Once the casting is returned, I solder it to an open double band ring with a tapered bottom. Finally it is cleaned up and hand polished with care.

The Large Scallop itself measures 3/4” wide and tall and and the Small scallop measures 1/2 wide and tall. This design is currently available in solid polished sterling silver but other metals, ring sizes and finishes are always available, email me for custom options and a quote.
