This set comes with the original boxes, Parker literature, and Fountain Pen hang tag. In September of 1990 Parker started advertising a Centennial fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in Orange as a Special Edition. The fountain pens had a crown with the pendulum pattern. It was offered in a cherrywood box. 1,000 un-numbered sets were initially produced but the design became so popular that Parker continued to make them for several years, adding an International sized fountain pen, ball pen and a roller ball to the line in 1991. The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Duofold is a Centennial Size that measures 5 3/8 inches in length capped and 6 7/8 posted. The pencil measures 5 1/4 in length The Parker Duofold 18K Solid Gold Nib is Platinum Plated and is marked M on the back of the feed for a medium line/stroke. The 2-tone NIB is in fantastic condition and writes so smooth! The actual writing portion (iridium) of the Parker NIB measures roughly .86mm when measured with digital calipers. This fountain pen uses an ink converter and accompanies this fountain pen. It will also use ink cartridges. The pencil uses 0.9mm leads. The factory boxes are in excellent condition with no damage. The wooden box is made of Cherrywood.  This Parker Duofold Centennial Special Edition Fountain Pen & Pencil Set really makes a statement - the color is absolutely gorgeous!
