Good morning! Well, America finally knows who our new president will be, and I don’t know about you but I’m just glad this election is over. It’s sad and quite honestly shocking to see the worst side of some people come to light over politics, especially on social media. Since we live overseas, my husband and I had to send in our absentee votes a few weeks ago. It’s hard to be in a time zone six hours ahead (nine if you live on the west coast) when something this important is happening. On the flip side, I was able to sleep all night and since the election was still in full swing when I woke up, I didn’t really miss anything. Regardless of which candidate we each voted for, let’s just hope for a positive outcome for our country (and a little more kindness towards each other wouldn’t hurt either!)Our weekend in Venice was so much fun, but unfortunately we didn’t have the best weather (the fall season tends to be pretty wet in Italy).
