Alstroemeria 'Prima Donna' (Peruvian Lily)

By A Mystery Man Writer

Alstroemeria 'Prima Donna' (Peruvian Lily) is a densely branched, tuberous perennial with lance-shaped, dark green leaves and a profusion of pastel pink flowers from early summer to fall. Long-lasting, the blossoms are adorned with pale yellow throats and mahogany streaks. This Peruvian Lily constitutes an excellent border plant, providing striking color and contrast to the perennial border and mixes beautifully with annuals and other summer flowering bulbs. It is well suited to containers, to small gardens lacking space, and to the cutting garden as it makes excellent fresh cut flowers.
