The Marlborough BraThis was a far more pleasant experience from start to finish.Like the Shelley bra, the Marlborough bra is a full coverage, underwired bra with a full band whose smallest band is a 30. Unlike the Shelley bra this bra is an easily obtained pdf and should be made with lace cup details.[READ-MORE]Like with the Shelley bra I made the 30H as this should be my equivalent size and toiled it out of scrap blouse fabric. The construction on this bra is considerably better, it’s fully lined with a pretty lace panel at the top because I was a lot more confident in the pattern pieces for this bra when I lay them against my RTW bras.As you can see when I overlay a fitting RTW bra over the top, it is a very similar shape. Slightly more coverage on the cup and a slightly wider band but it fits really nicely. The only reason I’m not wearing it is that the bra is designed for an underwire and doesn’t provide sufficient support without one. I need to cannibalise another bra for underwires and I’ve not yet had cause, but soon.[/READ-MORE]
