By A Mystery Man Writer

Red Yarrow is loved for its unique color of reddish-pink cluster-like flowers. These aromatic plants will produce clusters of ruby red to deep magenta-colored flowers that make a beautiful cut or dried flower arrangements. Plus, if expired blooms are removed, new blooms will continue for many weeks, which will keep your neighborhood pollinators such as honeybees and butterflies busy. Yarrow are flexible plants, they do surprisingly well in both dry and medium moist conditions. However, well-drained, medium wet soil is best and heavy clay and moist, rich soils should be avoided. Additionally, it does well in both dry western conditions and hot, humid conditions. (Zones 3-9) These prolific growers thrive in full sun and will mature to a height of about 18 to 24 inches tall and will spread 18 to 24 inches wide. They are deer- resistant and can be divided to form new plants in the Spring or Fall of their 3rd year.
